Offered here is an original concert poster for Big Brother & the Holding Co. featuring Janis Joplin, QuicksilverĀ Messenger Service, and the Gladstones. Concert held at the Monterey Fairgrounds Dance Hall in Monterey CA.Ā This was the first out of town performance for Janis as the singer for Big Brother. She had only joined less than oneĀ month earlier. Very early Janis Joplin poster. Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 265 plate 3.33. PrintedĀ on vellum paper stock with a union printing logo at the bottom center. A fantastic, original concert poster from 1966. Measures 14" X 20". In excellent condition with pinholes, 2 corner bends, tape stains on reverse and handling. A quite presentable example.
